The Dean's List Reception

The College of Arts & Sciences recently hosted the spring semester Dean’s List reception to honor the College’s outstanding students. Held on campus at the Boone Center, the reception also gave students and their families the opportunity to learn about exciting events, programs, and research ongoing in the College. The event included four A&S faculty participants who showcased their cutting-edge research – Vinnie Cassone from the Department of Biology, John Anthony from the Department of Chemistry, Cynthia Ruder from the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, and Susan Barron from the Department of Psychology – as well as Nicole Kennan from the James W. Stuckert Career Center, the A&S Ambassadors, Tony Ogden from the Study Abroad Program, MeNore Lake and her student group The World Report, and Mike Mullen, Associate Provost for Undergraduate Education. Andre Odendaal, visiting professor from the University of the Western Cape was also on hand to speak with students and parents about the College’s new international initiative which gives students an in-depth, year-long look at a specific country. This year’s focus is on South Africa and Kentucky: Different Lands, Common Ground and with a number of exciting events happening in April, there is still time to be part of the excitement.

Congratulations again to all of the students who made the Dean’s List. To see pictures of the event and to find out if you made it into the photo selection, visit our Facebook page and tag your picture!
